What About Aaron Rodgers?

While Brett Favre has received a lot of criticism for his decision to unretire, I am surprised at how little flak, at least nationally, the Packers have been receiving. How can you not welcome back a future Hall-of-Fame quarterback who took you to within one play of the Super Bowl last year? Do you really think the Packers would have been able to come back from 14 points down against the Seahawks if Aaron Rodgers had been playing? Do they not remember that the Packers turned last season around on the arm of Brett Favre?

And speaking of Aaron Rodgers, unless this guy wins a Super Bowl this year, he’s toast. Not only is it nigh-impossible to replace a legend, it’s even harder to replace a legend who still wants to play on your damn team. How many Favre signs do you think you’re going to see at home games? How many Favre chants are you going to hear after a Rodgers’ interception? Can you imagine the outcry if this team fails to make the playoffs?

Can you imagine the chaos if Favre actually shows up for training camp like he is threatening?

It’s like a bloggers’ wet dream.
