You may remember yesterday I suggested Brett Favre should be given the benefit of the doubt before journalists and bloggers excoriated the Super Bowl champion and future Hall of Famer. Wait for him to actually return instead of relying upon rumor and innuendo.

Well, it now looks like Brett Favre will be returning after asking for his release from the Green Bay Packers.

So I say without equivocation and in my best Mr. Burns’ voice, “Release the hounds.”
